Overview

Hearing and vision loss is not well managed in residential aged care facilities. This is even more so in people who are living with dementia. Our study aims to understand the key hearing and vision priorities in aged care facilities to improve services.

This study has been approved by The University of Queensland Human Research Ethics Committee [Approval No. 2022/HE001477]

Participation details

Individuals who meet any of the following criteria are invited to complete a 15-minute survey

  • Family members of people living in residential aged care >65 years with hearing or vision problems
  • People living in residential aged care >65 years with hearing or vision problems
  • Hearing and vision care professionals who have worked clinically with older adults in the past 3 months
  • Residential aged care staff (e.g., managers, nurses, allied health professionals
