Water Research Australia PhD candidate Samira Rashetnia has had her first research paper published.

‘A scoping review on Water Sensitive Urban Design aims and achievements’ was published in Volume 19, Issue 4 of the Urban Water Journal.

Undertaking her PhD at Victoria University, Samira is currently helping Melbourne Water understand the best implementation method and optimal locations of WSUD approaches in existing developments.

Water Research Australia PhD candidate and 2021 Nancy Millis Award recipient, Kaili Li, has had her first research paper published.

‘An Integrated First Principal and Deep Learning Approach for Modeling Nitrous Oxide Emissions from Wastewater Treatment Plants’ was published in the February 2022 edition of the Environmental Science and Technology journal.

Undertaking her PhD at the University of Queensland, Kaili is currently helping Icon Water develop efficient mitigation strategies for greenhouse gas emissions of Canberra’s sewage treatment at Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre.
