Younger Onset Dementia

This session provides an introduction to younger onset dementia and the unique impacts of a diagnosis of dementia earlier in life.

It includes: 

  • an overview of younger onset dementia 
  • the importance of diagnosis
  • understanding the impacts of younger onset dementia 
  • services and supports.

Dementia Australia’s facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. This session is delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks. 

Suitable for: Members of the public who want to learn more about younger onset dementia, or are concerned that they or someone they know may have dementia.

This session can be delivered on behalf of aged care and disability service providers onsite to people living with dementia and their families. If you would like to discuss onsite delivery, please contact the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500. 

This session is not suitable for professional carers or people employed in the health or aged care industries. The resources, content and delivery will not meet the needs of professionals.
