2022 Dementia Grants Program - CLOSED

The Dementia Australia Research Foundation is pleased to announce the following grant round supporting talented new, early and mid-career researchers.

1.  Up to 12, $75,000 capacity building Project Grants for new and early-career researchers, which includes:

  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation Project Grants, including the Dementia Australia Research Foundation – Norma Beaconsfield Project Grant
  • Hazel Hawke Research Grant in Dementia Care
  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation – Victoria Project Grant, in clinical or psychosocial areas of dementia research

2.  Up to 2 Post-doctoral Fellowships for new and early-career researchers. The 3-year award includes salary (up to $110,000 pa) and research expenses ($75,000) and includes:

  • Race Against Dementia - Dementia Australia Research Foundation Post-doctoral Fellowship, across the broad areas of dementia prevention or treatment
  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation Post-doctoral Fellowship, in any area of dementia research

3.  Up to 2 Mid-Career Research Fellowships for researchers who are establishing their career in dementia research. The 2-year award includes salary (up to $145,000 pa) and research expenses ($75,000) and includes:

  • Royce Simmons Foundation Mid-Career Research Fellowship, in biomedical or clinical areas of dementia research
  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation Mid-Career Research Fellowship, in any area of dementia research

Outcomes will be announced in January 2023.

The Dementia Australia Research Foundation has also partnered with the Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG) Research Trust in 2022, to fund quality applications that seek to improve the lives of older people living with dementia, their families and carers. 2021 Dementia Grants Program -

ROUND 1 OUTCOMES ANNOUNCED

The Dementia Australia Research Foundation is pleased to announce the following grant round supporting talented new, early and mid-career researchers.

1.  16, $75,000 capacity building Project Grants for new and early-career researchers, which includes:

  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation Project Grants, including the Dementia Australia Research Foundation – Norma Beaconsfield Project Grant
  • Hazel Hawke Research Grant in Dementia Care
  • Dementia Australia Research Foundation – Victoria Project Grant, in clinical or psychosocial areas of dementia research
  • Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration Pilot Grants, for nursing and allied health professionals in the areas of care or prevention

2.  5 Post-doctoral Fellowships for new and early-career researchers. The 3-year award includes salary (up to $110,000 pa) and research expenses ($75,000) and includes:

The Dementia Australia Research Foundation, with the support of the family of Faye Williams, is pleased to announce funding for two Innovation Grants, each valued at $375,000 over 3 years.
